The Town of Haverhill was incorporated in 1950 and is located in the central portion of eastern Palm Beach County. The Town is predominantly a bedroom community dominated by single family residential development with most of its commercial development limited to the easternmost portion of the Town.
The Town has two recreational areas within its boundaries, one operated by Palm Beach County (Haverhill Park) and one operated by the Town of Haverhill (Tommy J. Plyler Ballfield). There are three churches located in Haverhill.
